1. Promotional period

The original senior examination must be performed at Upper Village Vet from November 1 through December 31, 2026, during regular clinic hours. Following that examination, the discount will be honoured for eligible follow-up procedures booked through February 28, 2027. This booking window does not extend the deadline for the original senior examination or change which services are eligible for the discount.

2. Eligible pets

Dogs must be aged 8 years or older and cats aged 11 years or older on the date of service.

3. Eligible services

Receive 20% off the clinic’s regular fees for a veterinary examination, senior blood work, urinalysis, blood pressure measurement, X-rays, and sedation when clinically indicated for eligible X-rays. The offer applies only to these services. Your pet does not need to receive every listed service.

4. Exclusions and additional costs

Accuplex testing and fecal testing are excluded. Other services, medications, products, treatments, and fees are excluded unless expressly listed as eligible. Additional costs will be discussed with you before services are provided.

5. Booking and availability

Appointments are required and subject to availability. The original senior examination must take place during November 1–December 31, 2026. The discount will be honoured for eligible follow-up X-rays or other eligible procedures booked through February 28, 2027. Mention the Senior Pet Month promotion when scheduling your appointments.

6. Discount and payment

The discount is calculated on regular fees for eligible services before applicable taxes. This offer can be combined with our new client promotion. Please contact the clinic to confirm whether any other offer, discount, wellness plan, or account credit can be combined with it. Payment follows the clinic’s usual payment policies. The discount has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

7. Individual clinical care

All services are subject to the attending veterinarian’s assessment and recommendations and your consent. Diagnostic testing, X-rays, and sedation will be recommended only when clinically appropriate. Promotional eligibility does not determine which services are appropriate for your pet.

8. Separate photo contest

The Senior Pet Contest is a separate promotion governed by its own official rules. Entering the photo contest is not required to receive the Senior Pet Month discount.

Terms & Conditions

1. How to enter

Post an original photo of your senior pet on Instagram and tag @uppervillageveterinary by 11:59 p.m. Toronto time on December 31, 2026. Your post must be visible to our team so we can review it. If your account is private or you need help entering, contact the clinic before the deadline. No purchase or appointment is necessary.

2. Eligible entries

Enter a dog aged 8 years or older or a cat aged 11 years or older. You must be at least 18 and own the pet or have the owner’s permission. Only submit photos you took or have permission to use, with permission from anyone identifiable in the photo.

3. Choosing the winner

The Upper Village Veterinary Hospital team will choose one winning photo after entries close, judging cuteness, the pet’s personality, and photo clarity with equal weight. If entries tie, photo clarity will determine the winner. This is a judged photo contest, not a random draw or a public vote; likes and follower counts do not determine the result. The team’s judging decision is final.

4. The prize

One winner will receive a feature of their senior pet on our billboard at Haddington Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West, plus a CAD $200 credit at Upper Village Veterinary Hospital. The billboard feature has no cash alternative; its design and display schedule will be arranged by the clinic. The winning photo must be suitable for billboard reproduction, and we may request the original high-resolution file.

5. Using the clinic credit

The $200 credit can be used toward services or products at Upper Village Veterinary Hospital through December 31, 2027. Any unused balance expires after that date. The credit is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be applied to previous invoices. Costs above the remaining credit are the winner’s responsibility.

6. Photo permission and contacting the winner

By entering, you give Upper Village Veterinary Hospital permission to reproduce your submitted photo and pet’s name to run and promote this contest, including the winning billboard feature and contest-related website and social posts. You retain ownership of your photo. We will contact the selected entrant through our official Instagram account or directly through the clinic to confirm eligibility and arrange the prize. We will never ask for payment to claim it.

7. Separate promotions

This contest is separate from the senior wellness discount; entering or winning is not required to receive that offer. Instagram does not sponsor, endorse, administer, or associate with this contest. Entry information is used to administer the contest and arrange the prize, subject to the clinic’s Privacy Policy.
