As an independently owned and independently operated animal clinic, Upper Village Veterinary Hospital believes all pet owners should have access to affordable care for their dogs or cats. When our neighbours in Willowdale, Ontario, search for a “vet near me,” they can trust that we won’t nickel and dime them, and that the care provided is of the highest quality.

Where are you located in relation to Willowdale?

We owe our name to Upper Village, which is a pocket within the Forest Hill neighbourhood in Midtown Toronto. Our neighbourhood is a little more than nine kilometres southwest of Willowdale.

How quickly can I get to your office from Willowdale?

It depends on both traffic as well as your transportation of choice, and there are many options to get to us fast. By car, the drive usually takes between 15 and 22 minutes. The primary, most direct route is to take Beecroft Road to ON-401 West. Exit at Avenue Road. We are located right at the corner of Avenue Road and Eglinton Avenue West. You can also get to us within 30 minutes by taking either the subway or bus.

What stops or stations are near you?

Forest Hill/Upper Village is a very vibrant, amenity-rich area. Our neighbourhood is served by Eglinton West Station (now Cedardale Station), which is a short walk from our clinic. From Willowdale and greater North York, you can take Line 1 Yonge-University southbound to either Sheppard-Yonge Station or North York Centre Station until you reach Eglinton. If taking the bus, travel westbound on the 32 Eglinton West route until you reach Avenue Road. From there, you can take a nice, short stroll to Eglinton Avenue West, where we are located.

What else is near your office?

Our neighbourhood is home to ample parking, dog parks and green spaces, and more than 200 restaurants, shops, and other businesses in The Eglinton Way business district. There are plenty of things for you and your pet to do while in the area, so you can combine your visit to our clinic with any errands you may need to run, enjoy a fun playdate with your dog or cat, or partake in some leisurely window shopping.

Do you provide emergency care?

Yes. We are a full-service animal hospital. We are equipped to handle traumatic and other urgent cases. Clients from Willowdale, ON, appreciate how quickly they can get to our office and how quickly Drs. Steven Davidson, Rachael Mozes, and Andrea Smith can see their pet upon arrival. Our full range of diagnostic services allows us to understand your pet’s needs quickly, so we can treat them effectively and quickly. Additionally, a Registered Veterinary Technician is available 24/7 via our telehealth programme.

Do you have any money-saving tips?

One of the best things that you can do for your pet (and your budget) is to maintain wellness visits. Proactive, preventive care is always preferred because it helps your pet avoid the pain associated with potentially preventable conditions. Additionally, wellness visits and preventive care are consistently more affordable than treatments that are designed to resolve conditions after they have developed. If you are concerned about the cost of any recommended treatment, we also encourage you to share those concerns with us. We work with you to ensure your pet gets the care that they need and deserve.
